– About Me –
Aloha! My name is Aoi, the owner and maker of Pualani Soap Hawaii. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii with my my husband, Lance and our dog, Luna. I am originally from Japan, moved to Hawaii when I was 20. Since I was little, I always loved painting, making and creating something for my family and friends. Now I enjoy making natural soap and skincare products that are good for people, pets, and environment.

– How I got into soap making –
People often ask me why I make natural soap. I have always loved creating something that is good for myself, family, and friends. When my husband and I got engaged, I started wondering about what would be the perfect wedding favors that I could put my heart and soul to create for the guests. I picked up one of the soap making book and made soap for over 100 guests, packaged in baby blue Washi paper for our wedding. They were so beautiful and perfect.

– How Pualani Soap Hawaii was born –
Since the first time, I have been addicted making natural soap. As I created and used natural soap in daily basis, I realized that natural soap made such a big difference on our skin conditions. I started sharing handmade soap with friends and family, and received very positive feedbacks. I also realized commercial shampoo and soap bars contain so much harmful ingredients that could damage skin’s natural balance, as well as our natural environment. In 2013, I left my office manager position and started Pualani Soap Hawaii so that I can share what I do and natural soap that are good for all of us.

Oils:
Hawaiian Kukui Nut and USDA Organic jojoba oils are in the recipe for very luxurious feel.
All vegetable base, Sustainable Resource oils from trusting suppliers.
All of our soaps are “Super-fatted” (add skin nourishing oils at the end of soap making process) for extra moisture and skin nutrition. Naturally created glycerin moisturizes your skin.

Water:
Special Healing water, charged with Hawaiian solar is used to create every batch of our soaps.

Scent:
Only high quality essential oils are used to gently scent the soaps. Natural essential oils also have great benefits to your skin.

Natural addition:
Organic Hawaiian Honey is added for extra moisturizing effect.
Grapefruit seed extract is the high quality natural antioxidants, incorporated to protect oils and soaps from oxidation.
Deep ocean salt from Big Island is added to cleanse and heal your soul and body.
